Ben Whitener, a Catawba County native, found his way to Pack 327 when his oldest son joined as a Tiger. He is excited for the opportunity to show families new to Scouting how fulfilling it can be to get involved and make Cub Scouts a family affair.
Ben has worked behind the scenes with Pack 327 helping organize the annual popcorn fundraiser, and assisting with events like the Raingutter Regatta.
A graduate of UNC Charlotte, Ben is an engineer by trade as well as a hobby farmer. He lives in Newton with his wife and two sons. In addition to farming, his hobbies include off-roading, running technology at Sardis ELCA, and sharing his love of cooking and BBQ with his family and friends.
